“Lienzos” are like blank pages, woven with silent threads inside, over which I wrote again, a new “praying” for new garment.

Since ancient times, weaving is a kind of writing and also a way of praying through repetition of weaving as a mantra.

The meditating process of weaving used to be in the afternoon, until the sunset. So “God” (the Sun) before leaving the day, takes away their worries and desires, receiving their feelings and secrets. When the woven piece is finished, it stays as a letter, as a promise.

The “lienzos” collection, leaves the fabrics alive, they can be folded and seamed together but without breaking their origin.

I collected these fabrics in different countries, Mexico, Philippines, Hong Kong and Uzbekistan (from Ali Rakib). And waited several years until they are accepted as part of “Lienzos”.
